I have worked in Mental Health for over 30 years, initially as a Social Worker and then a Primary Care Counsellor in GP surgeries. I qualified in 2003 as a Psychoanalytyic Psychotherapist and since then work in the NHS as a psychotherapist. I am experienced in offering both brief-focused and long-term psychotherapy to both individuals and groups in the public sector and as part of my private practice. Psychological, sociological and biological perspectives inform my practice.
I supervise psychotherapists and psychologists and I am also a trained and experienced Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) therapist.
